2020 Pending...

Here we are again, writing another blog post heading into the New Year! It seems like two minutes ago that I was writing my blog post for going into 2019…where has this year gone? Today’s post isn’t going to be about New Year’s resolutions as such, but some ideas that I have for 2020 and some things that I have been thinking about for 2020. I have given up with the idea of resolutions and more focused on thoughts and ideas rather than strict resolutions. Let’s be honest, I never fully stick to them.

I don’t think anything spectacular has happened in 2019, but here’s a quick rundown…it’s all gone by in a flash. I visited London for the first time at the beginning of the year, I went on a trip to Dublin with my Dad, I got myself a new car which I absolutely love, I had so many concerts this year which were all brilliant, I have seen an impressive amount of new films at the cinema this year, I’ve had lots of great shoots with the talented Josey Grace, I went on another amazing holiday to Parga, celebrated turning 22, went on a trip to Paris and London towards the end of the year and finally…I have watched my niece grow up so much over the year and she has just turned 1!

As cliché as it sounds, I do love the idea of a New Year and a ‘fresh start’. I know that you never need the excuse of a New Year to turn things around or try something new, but it definitely makes you think about everything and what you would like to achieve next. At the end of the day, New Year’s Day is just another day, but it’s a new year and the chance to reset. I always like to think of a few things I would like to try and do in 2020 and evaluate my current situation. I am hoping that 2020 is the year of bigger and better things. I am hoping by this time next year, I have something to write about that has happened in 2020 that I am extremely proud of and is a big thing. I’m not 100% sure what this is yet…but I have a feeling!

Now in terms of what’s coming in 2020 for the blog…if I’m honest, there have been a few moments over the past month or so that I have considered shutting the blog down. This was purely due to the frustration of not having enough time to write the posts that I want and not having as much help as I needed with taking blog pictures. I think that my content has reduced over the year and that is purely due to time. I’ve said it before, but having a full time job and trying to run a blog is hard work. But I have decided that I do want to keep going as I really love running this blog and enjoy making content. I am going to try as hard as I can to get posts up as much as I can, but I’m not going to hold once a week over my head as I know this is impossible. So, make sure you keep following and keep reading…the blog continues in 2020!

I am planning on posting a few blog posts over January in terms of some favourites from 2019. This includes a rundown of my favourite films of 2019, favourite beauty products of 2019 and some overall recommendations. So make sure to keep an eye out for these, I will be sharing them on my social media platforms as always.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, I didn't want to go into detail about new years resolutions and all, so I have decided to select some of my favourite quotes which I am going to be using as inspiration for the New Year:

1. 12 new chapters, 365 new chances

2. This is the beginning of anything you want

3. New Year stop wondering if I'm good enough to other people and start wondering if they're good enough for me

4. A lot can happen in a year

5. You may not end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you are meant to be

6. What the new year brings to you will depend a great deal on what you bring to the new year

7. Prove yourself to yourself, not to others

8. You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.

9. The biggest threat to our planet is believing that someone else will save it

10. May the new year bring you new strength, new hope and new dreams

I hope you all have an amazing New Year, however you choose to celebrate it! For me, going out isn't my number one choice on New I have opted to a girls night with games and food and I will be in bed watching Netflix when the clock hits 12. In my opinion, that's the perfect way to celebrate New Years. So, no matter what you choose to do this evening, I hope everyone has a great start into 2020. I will be back again very soon with a brand new post.

Happy New Year!

Kellie xx
