You Should Give Yourself More Credit

So today I'm going to discuss something which I have been thinking about a lot recently and of course I had to share it on the blog! Lately everything has been very very busy and quite full on! I seem to have something on every day and have no space to fit anything in. It has been like this for the past few months and it can get a little frustrating as I feel like I don't have time to do anything. I think most people will agree with me when I say...this is when I start to feel like I'm failing with some things in my life. I don't feel like I have the time to create amazing content everyday which I want, I don't have time to see everybody and I don't have time to keep up with anything...

But, when I actually sat down and realised how much I actually fit into a week...I should really give myself more credit.

It's so easy to get caught up in everything that you need to do in a day that sometimes, you forget about how much you are actually doing. We all have those days where we feel so exhausted from running around all day, but don't actually have anything to show from it. But guess what, that's ok!

Everyone's weeks or days will be different, so you may not completely relate to my week. But I have come to realise that I have a full time job, go to the gym 5 times a week, run a blog where I upload every week, run an Instagram page where I upload almost everyday, see family and friends, currently completing two courses, attending events, going on nights out for birthdays etc, keeping up with programme's, socialising and spending time to myself...yes that's quite a lot I would say! Recently I have just been so busy and it was getting me a little stressed and down as I felt like I didn't have the time to do things I wanted to do. But when I actually sat down and realised all the things I was managing to get done, I really should give myself more credit! I love doing all these different things and I know all this hard work will pay off. I am really enjoying my job and running my blog at the same time. It is so much more difficult than what people realise, so guess what...it's ok to give yourself a little pat on the back from time to time.

I know some people don't really understand the work that goes into uploading on multiple platforms, but honestly, it's a lot of work! I think that been apart of the Blogging community is an amazing thing. I truly understand how much work goes into peoples posts, images and writing! Fitting this into an everyday lifestyle can be a tricky thing, so it's so important to let people know when you love what they have created. If you love someones Instagram photo, give it a like...if you love someones blog post, leave them a lovely comment...if you love someones content that they upload everyday...give them a follow! It really does mean the world to people in the Blogging community to see the support and get feedback for the things they have spent so long on!

So the next time you feel disappointed in yourself for missing the gym one day or not having time to upload one week...you should really give yourself more credit. I am one to hold my hands up and say that this is me! I always feel so bad when I miss something that I usually do, and I do give myself a telling off. But I am very slowly starting to get out of this habit, because I do fit a lot into my weeks and should feel proud of some of the things that I accomplish. You shouldn't be so hard on yourself and I know that a lot of people sometimes need this little reminder...

The final little topic that I wanted to fit into this post was remembering to take care of yourself. Alongside our busy schedules, we often forget about looking after ourselves. I have definitely done this on multiple occasions and running myself down. No matter how busy our weeks are and no matter how much we think we need to get done, we must always remember to at least have a few hours a week, if not a full day of having some you time. Pick your favourite thing to do and just relax for a little bit. Shut down your brain for a short amount of time and it will be so beneficial. I feel like when I have this time, I'm raring to go again afterwards and can be so much more productive than if I'm tired and run down. Looking after yourself physically and mentally is something that we all need to do a little more of. It should be number one on your list and something that NEEDS to be fitted into your routine. If you know someone with a hectic schedule, remember to give them a little nudge in regards to some self care!

So that's it for today's' post, I know you guys love when I just spill out my thoughts in a post...so thank you as it makes me feel so much better after writing it all down! I also just wanted to mention the images in this post which were take by the amazing Katherine! I recently had a shoot with her in Brighton and it was incredible. She is one talented lady and I would love if you guys could go and check out her Instagram page. We shot two outfits so there will be some more images coming soon!

Since it will be Boxing day that I will be back with another post (I know, how terrifying),  I just wanted to say...I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and spend the day relaxing and enjoying yourselves! Remember to help those out who are rushing around all day as we all need a shit down and have an enjoyable time on Christmas Day...
