A Weekend Away To My Favourite Place

Last weekend... I got to spend it in one of my favourite places! If you have been reading my blog for a while, you know how much I adore this place. That's right, I spent the weekend in Brighton! Brighton is just the place to be. It has everything you could possibly need and more. I must admit, the whether wasn't great this time, but that didn't stop us from exploring and having a good time.

I went with two of my step sisters this time. Neither of them had been before, so I got to be a little tour guide for the weekend. It feels like home more and more every time I visit. I knew my way around so easily and I have started to know the little streets and shortcuts! I just love the feeling of walking around and imagining myself living there...It NEEDS to happen soon!

We spent the majority of Saturday seeing all the main tourist bits and taking some pictures. The sea, the beach huts, the bandstand, the pier, the lanes...all the good stuff! I took them to all the places that I love and I just loved seeing it all again for myself. Although I've seen these things numerous times before, I just love going back to them again and again. There is nothing at all where I live and no spots to go and see. But in Brighton, there's something around every corner and that's one thing that I love about it. We had tea at Ask Italian down the lanes which was delicious! I love how much choice there is for food in Brighton, you'd never be left without any food! We also went to one of the pubs on the sea front which I've never done before. I've walked past them loads of times and always wanted to go in. We went into Tempest Inn and it was so cool inside! You should defiantly go if you're in Brighton. Really cool decor, lovely staff and a great location.

We were lucky enough to get tickets to see Lorde on the Saturday night at Brighton Centre. Let's just say...wow! I was expecting it to be good, but the whole show just went above and beyond. Lorde is honestly the most genuine, fun and loveliest person! Her voice is incredible, her outfits are amazing and her dancing is the best! I just loved hearing her sing all the songs off her new album, which is amazing by the way, and she loved having conversations and talks with us all too! The atmosphere was by far an amazing thing I'll never forget! I would LOVE to go and see her again in the future. What a night! The support act for Lorde was also very very good. He was called Khalid and it's someone that I had never heard of before. I am now pretty obsessed with his songs. Very talented, super cool and a great dancer!

On Sunday we decided to go and visit a few shops and see the last few bits before heading home. I went to one of my favourite Jewlerry shops in Brighton called Lovisa. It's so affordable and they sell some beautiful pieces. We also went to Photomatic as this is 100% a tradition when I go to Brighton. I'm sure a lot of you will know about this place, but you can go in and get a cute 4 picture Polaroid! There's a black and white machine and also a colour machine. One of my favourite places in Brighton for sure. It's located opposite the Komedia. I have to go and get one every time I go to Brighton, my collection is coming together nicely!

We ended the trip off by going to Boho Gelato and getting some food on the Pier. A typical seaside thing to do! I always get really sad when it comes to going home as I never want to leave. I am so happy that I have finally found a place where I feel at home and happy, but It's such a shame that I can't stay there! I know that I will move there over the next few years, but these things take time of course!

So that's it for today's post. I just thought that I would share my weekend with you guys as I had such a lovely time in Brighton. I really loved some of the pictures that I took so a diary post today felt right. I will be doing more of these when I have weekends away for sure!

Kellie xx
