You Don't Have To Be Good At Everything...

I feel like in this day and age, everyone feels like they need to be good at everything! Especially when it comes to the world of social media and also the blogging community. Everyone always has to be in competition with one another and I don't understand why supporting each other isn't something that shines through a lot more. Today, I just wanted to have a chat on this topic and hopefully give you all a reminder that it's ok to be rubbish at something and better with other things! I need this little reminder myself sometimes, so I hope some of you find this useful!

When it comes to makeup, honestly...I have no idea what I'm doing! I watch loads of YouTube videos and hope for the best! If it wasn't for watching YouTube videos all about beauty then I probably wouldn't even know what contouring meant or that a blending brush even existed. So it's ok if you're not perfect and it's ok if you need more time to practice than others. I know we are constantly flooded with images of girls with flawless makeup and amazing brows and beautiful eyeshadow...but let's be real! For most of us, that kind of thing seems impossible and there will be so many people in the same boat as you, so don't worry! As long as you feel happy with your makeup, enjoy experimenting and practicing and use the brands and products you love, then that's all that matters! Don't feel like you should have to look a certain way just because it's what the media is telling you, if you don't want to wear any makeup, then that's fine too!

Today I am going to be showing you a new brush set that I think you're all going to love! I have fallen in love with these brushes so so much so of course I had to share them with you!

This is the 8 piece brush set from Illuminate. Illuminate is by Ashley Tisdale and I think it's a really great brand. I was so happy when she announced that she was releasing brushes and when I saw the price, I knew I had to get my hands on some! The set includes the following; Deluxe Powder Brush, Blush Brush, Dual Fiber Blending Brush, Angled Contour Brush, Eye Blending Brush, Large Shadow Brush, Smudge Brush and Angled Liner Brush! I think this is the perfect basic makeup brush set and I just love love the look of the brushes!

As you can see, these brushes are such a gorgeous colour and I think that they look so more expensive than they are! It comes in a rose gold box and who doenst love rose gold? The brushes feel so soft and I think they are the perfect size. The quality feels incredible and to make things so much better...they are cruelty free!!

Pick n Melt

Today I am going to be showing you a new product that I have been loving recently and introducing a new brand to my blog! The brand is called Pick n Melt and they sell cube melts and candles. Now, I'm a big lover of candles so I was very excited about this. They have a huge selection of scents to choose from and you can create your own combination which I think is quite cool! They also offer each of the scents as candles too which I defiantly want to try in the future. They have 250 scents in total  so there is something for everyone.

I am going to be showing you the Pick n Melt Wax Warmer and this also came with 16 bags of melt too...So I was able to try out lots of scents and see which ones were my favourite! I tried out a lot of Christmas themed scents as I used this product throughout December, so these scents were perfect for the time of year! Some of my favourite scents were Snow, Robin Red Breast and Mistletoe and Wine.

They come in the cutest designed box which is covered in Orange and White stripes. Inside there is a little booklet which is the Pick n Melt Menu...I love this! It lists all of the scents available and also has a picture of all the products that you can buy. Since their inspiration is from choosing Pick n Mix sweets, it comes with a little bag where all the melts are and this just reminds me of a sweet bag! I think that all the packaging and theme of the brand is really sweet and I love the inspiration behind it all too.

What 2016 Has Taught Me...

So that's another year over and done with and boy has this one gone fast! I feel like I've blinked and its flown past me but I also feel like I've done so much...makes sense right? For today's post, I just wanted to write up a little something to close off 2016 and tell you how I'm feeling about 2017 and what I'm wanting to achieve.

2016 has definitely been full of highs and lows for me. But I'm going to keep this post as positive as I can! I feel like this year has been the year that I have made a big change within myself and I feel so much happier! This year I've finally started to not care about what other people think and finally make choices for me. I wouldn't say that I'm 100% there yet but I've made a lot of progress this year. Starting to make decisions for you is so so important and I've slowly started to realise how much of a difference this can make. It's so easy to get caught up in doing things because everyone else is and it's what you think people would like. You should do things for you and only you and if it makes you happy then you should do it!

Over this year I've finally got to grips with the fact that if I want to do it then I should and if the people around me won't support me, then are they really your true friends? I have been so so lucky to have a lot of people around me who support what I want to do and are happy for me. A lot of people can see that I'm so much happier now than I used to be and I'm so glad that things have changed.
