Do I Regret Not Going To University?

A question that I often get asked is why I didn't go to uni and do I wish I had gone? I thought that it would be the perfect opportunity to sit down and write a post about this topic because I know so many of you also made the option not to go to university. Of course, the choice is down to each individual and what works for you. It all depends on your career path that you want to go down. But, at the end of the day, not going to university doesn't mean that you can't get the job of your dreams and that's something I have always stuck by.

Was Uni ever on my mind as an option?

I can remember when I was in college and the talks of university started to arise. We were starting to receive leaflets, emails, options, all about where we were wanting to go. From the very beginning, I knew instantly that it wasn't for me. University has never been on my mind and I knew that it wasn't the path I wanted to go down. I think that in college, if you don't choose to look at going to university, then you don't really get any help or advice for the future. But if you were planning on going, you got all the help in the world. I think that this defiantly needs to change, as not going to uni is just as an important decision as deciding to go. Luckily, I didn't mind not having the advice from college, but I know so many people who would of appreciated it. I think that my college pressured a lot of people into thinking they had to go to university, because it's what everyone else was doing. I personally think that if you're unsure, then it's something you should consider but it's never a mandatory option. Uni was never on my mind as an option, and it's something I still don't regret.

Today I have a post which introduces you to a new brand on my blog as well as an amazing giveaway! I am so grateful to be partnering with this brand as I am in love with the pieces that they offer and the lady who runs it is so lovely and thoughtful! Esme Louise is a British Jewellery brand all about empowering the modern woman to be effortlessly herself. I have honestly fallen in love with the pieces as they are simple yet beautiful and if you know me, you will know that simple jewellery pieces are my favourite. They have also recently launched a new range of pieces called The Dreamer's Collection and I can't tell you how much I love it! It's my style all over and I think a lot of you guys will also love it! I am going to give you a run down of some of the pieces that I have and at the end of this post I will let you all know about the amazing giveaway that they are running!

The first piece is this beautiful pair of earrings that are perfect for simplicity and elegance. I think that they are the perfect size and the simple detail is what I love about them the most. I always prefer to wear silver jewellery pieces, so all of these items today are perfect! I think that these earrings are the kind that you can wear with absolutely anything and they will match. They are really light as well which is a bonus as I am not a fan of big and heavy earrings! I think a lot of you will love these!

The Implications of Social Media

Social media...as much as I love using the various platforms and would love to have a career in the area some day, it definitely has it's negative implications on most people. Social media platforms can be used to send such amazing messages and used for positive purposes but we all know that as social media has grown, the impact on body image, confidence and comparing ourselves to others has taken a turn.

Social media now follows us everywhere we go. Most people now have a phone which they can access all social media platforms easily on an everyday basis. Most people I know are active on social media and it's a massive part of social interaction.
